'Brinjal' black, purple and yellow beads

Black glass is striped with contrasting colours of yellow and purple, heated and spun to allow the glass to move into curved bands is decorated with overlaid stripes and dots of contrasting colours.  Four matching yellow spacers are included in the set.

The beads measure approximately 11 x 16mm.  The beads have been made on 3/32" (2.2mm) mandrels, are fully annealed and cleaned.

The fosetta in the beads are a sign of an expert craftsman, each one rounded and curving into the bead, giving a smooth and elegant feel to the beads and allowing them to be used in a project without worrying about the stringing material being cut or chafed by sharp edges.

The set is temporarily wired on craft wire with small spacer beads.
