'Ribe'-style beads in coral, white and black (sold singly)
£3.00
Based on the polychrome beads from Ribe, these are very distinctively Viking-era beads. They differ from the Birka-style beads in that they have a more complex style of bands of colour, which can include a 'shoulder' band of colour close to the hole.
This set has a barrel bead in white and coral glass, an unusual triple-wave pattern, a black and coral bead with the shoulder band and two wave beads in matching colours. Select the preferred bead style from the menu below. The quantity reflects purchsing
single beads of a selected style for £3 per bead.
Individual beads in this listing are £3 per bead. The image shows the five styles available, but each bead must be purchased individually in this listing.
The beads are also available as a mixed set of five as shown or as sets of five of a single style in a separate listing for £12 for a set of five beads.
Each bead is handmade by Mike, annealed and cleaned. Please contact us at sales@tillerman.co.uk if you require more information about the provenance of the originals these beads are based on.
