Anglo-Saxon beads based on finds from Sarre Grave 236
The Anglo-Saxon cemetery at Sarre in Kent is a wonderful resource for beads. The finds from there show a wide range of bead types and also the quantity of beads per grave varies widely.
This is a reproduction of a set of beads from Grave 236, a very small set with only four beads. Obviously not a woman of means but her small collection of beads must have been very precious to her.
