A set of unusual glass beads from a 5th c burial in the Netherlands
A fascinating set of beads, many of them unique, found in a burial in the Netherlands. The 'Princess of Zweeloo' was a 5th-century woman whose grave was found in 1952 , and as always, the wealth in her burial was enough to attribute royalty, as with the 'Pagan Lady'.
An assemblage of 30 unusual and large glass beads were found around her waist, along with a necklace of amber beads necklace which comprised a significant find.
The beads are all handmade by Mike, some of the more unusual ones will be made available individually, as soon as we get them photographed
