the hare goddess of Ancient Egypt
We'net, 'the swift one' the goddess of the night and companion to Osiris in his guise of the Renewer, in reference to the annual inundation by the Nile. We'net is also occasionally shown as the guard of the entrance to Duat, the underworld, with the honorific “Lady of the Hour”.
Well, not actually gone as such, but you know what it's like. You see a great piece of jewellery, and you don't buy it when you should. Then some other little nymph sneaks in when you're not looking and that's it!
This necklace is made with handmade lampwork melons in amber glass, carefully matched with elegant tigers eye beads in an unusual shape of bead, with four slightly angled faces which help the light play on the bands of colour in the beads. Accent beads of cream-coloured riverstone, Swarovski crystals and small silver beads help to bring out the richness of the amber glass. These colours reflect the tones seen in the hare.
This is a unique, one of a kind piece of jewellery, with handmade lampwork beads, created in our atelier, and never to be repeated.
The necklace measures approximately 16.5"/43cm
Every necklace is a one-of-a-kind, handmade with attention the finest details, including crimp bead covers, thimble covers for the wire passing through the jump rings and top quality findings.
