Anglo-Saxon beads based on finds from Sarre Grave 27
Reproduction bead set with striped 'agate' beads, based on the Anglo-Saxon burials at Sarre - Grave 25
The two blue striped beads are typical of glass reproductions of semi-precious stones such as banded agate. It is common to find glass versions of several different types of gemstone beads.
The beads are a reproduction of a set from Sarre Grave 27, which has two of the banded beads, along with an unusual bead in cobalt blue that has grooved decoration like a melon bead but also has a tubular end on one side only. The other beads are monochrome beads in colours typical of A-S beads.
