Anglo-Saxon beads based on finds from Street House Grave 12
Reproduction bead set with turquoise, green and blue glass beads, based on the Anglo-Saxon burials at Street House, Loftus
The Anglo-Saxon cemetery at Street House is located near Loftus, in the Redcar district. Among the burials is the famous 'Saxon Princess' bed burial. This set is from a female grave, a woman of far less significant means than the princess, but the collection of beads shows that she was a woman of taste, with a lovely sense of colour.
