The Lindisfarne 'Kingpiece'

Newly released images of the 'kingpiece' excavated on Lindisfarne have caused quite a stir!  The piece been reproduced in cobalt blue glass with white trailed overlay and raised dotted decoration.

Although the lighting of the piece in various online sources shows it as a bright blue, the actual piece is a classic cobalt blue. The same piece on the board is shown below with a bright led light under it.  Same glass, different look.

The piece measures approximately 20x20mm but will vary slightly as they are made individually,and in accordance with best beadmaking practice, each piece is fully annealed.
