Swag and Murrini Viking beads - from Rogaland, Norway
Reproductions of Viking beads based on finds in the Oslo Museum
Swag and Murrini Viking beads based on finds from Rogaland, Norway, in the Oslo Museum.
Viking-era glass beads based on finds from the Oslo Museum, these lampworked beads have been created using the traditional method of winding layers of molten glass around a mandrel (metal rod) and then decorating the bead with additional molten glass lines trailed in a criss-crossing swag pattern, and finished off with dots.
These reproduction beads are made on a 2.2mm mandrel, and will easily fit on 2mm cord. They average approximately 10x15mm but will vary as each bead is individually handmade.
They are fully annealed and cleaned before being made available for sale.
